Nothing but Nature Farm was established to compliment a small family farm operation. The family members all work off the farm and wanted a project that would bring the family back together for fun and profit. Five wind generators stand as guards at the front of the farm erected in 2007 to produce electricity for our needs. A high tunnel was built and this started our project. Our goal is to produce products year round, such as salad greens and other cold tolerant produce, and to supply seasonal products ahead of the local market. We specialize in many varieties of tomatoes and peppers. Other areas of vegetable production are being reviewed and explored on an ongoing basis. We use natural ways to grow our products and control pests. In season we also grow other vegetables and fruit to sell at local farmers markets and restaurants. In June 2009, we will be welcoming a wide variety of Brown, White, and Easter egg laying chicks. They will be free range and naturally fed. Eggs will be available to buy. In October we will also be welcoming Large Black Hogs and Red Wattles. We are very passionate about keeping critically endangered heritage breeds around for coming generations. The pigs have a very docile temperament and are a pasture animal. The pork is lean yet micro-marbled for a moist product on the grill or in the oven. The texture of the pork is extra tender due to the short muscle fibers which has earned it a place in some of the most exclusive restaurants in New York and Europe. The meat is slightly darker in color with an old world flavor. Large Black Hogs are also famous for their exceptional bacon. We welcome visitors to the farm anytime! Please feel free to contact us anytime! We also DELIVER!.
